Mass production were a 10-piece disco/funk outfit from Richmond,Virginia probably best known fro their hit "Firecracker" released in 1979 which reached no 4 in the R&B charts later that year.'Welcome To Our World' was their first album containing the self titled hit released around 1976 on Atlantic Records subsidiary label Cotillion.'Believe' followed in 1977 containing the space disco jam "Cosmic Lust" proving they were no one-hit wonders.Minor success followed with other small hits until the band dis-jointed around 1983.Certainly a group that could jam a real good groove and work on any discerning dance floor.Quality all round...Mass Production - Cosmic Lust (12" Mix)
